PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE REHABILITATION
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK

BCG is providing community outreach services and working with the construction management team on the Reconstruction of the 17th Avenue and 27th Avenue Bridges over the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn, NY. The project consists of the removal and rebuild of the two pedestrian only bridges. The new 17th Avenue bridge involves demolition and new build of the bridge placed in the existing bridge’s footprint. The new 27th Avenue bridge is being constructed adjacent to the existing bridge.

This project requires coordination of communication with local community boards and the neighboring public as pedestrians travel to school, work and shopping. BCG is working directly with Community Board 11 and Community Board 13 and ensuring any publics concerns regarding parking spaces, rodent control, cleanliness of the site is resolved. Our role is to update the community and any residual effects on the ongoing demolition and construction of the areas.
